DISCOTHECA RARA

CD-ROMs of Rare Books and Manuscripts 

1. DISCOTHECA RARA offers the image files of any MARABU and CAMENA edition on CD-ROM. This makes you independent of the limitations of on-line data transfer. 

2. DISCOTHECA RARA CD-ROMs contain the jpeg or gif files used in web presentation as well as the original tiff files. These allow of detailed scrutiny and excellent reproduction of the original document. 

3. In addition to the titles published in MARABU and CAMENA, DISCOTHECA RARA offers single outstanding items from the rare book collection of Mannheim University Library. The new series REPERTA ("finds") equals MARABU and CAMENA in visual quality but does not contain introductory material.

The price of every CD-ROM is 12,5€. We charge a flat rate of 7,5 €for every consignment including postage. Foreign customers pay 12,50 € for every CD-ROM and a flat rate of 8 €. Bank charges must be placed to the customer's debit.

One CD-ROM may contain up to 300 reproductions in both formats. Sometimes, however, the capacity of the CD has not been fully utilized in order to avoid dividing the following part of an edition. Sometimes, too, one CD contains more than one edition. We do not regroup editions on order but just copy our CD masters.

Please find the titles available on CD-ROM in the lists of MARABU, CAMENA and REPERTA respectively. The number of CDs representing one edition is indicated at the close of each bibliographic description.
